10 Best & 10 Worst Stunner Sells In WWE History

Worst 9. Byron Saxton – Raw, March 16, 2020

I mean this entire segment blows harder than a fucking turbine anyway.

It was the first Raw in lockdown and WWE did not know how to handle it, so out of sheer panic they put together a Steve Austin segment where Byron Saxton rated Austin’s catchphrases out of 10, shared a beer with Austin because he’s never watched wrestling before and then Austin hit him with a Stunner which involving kicking Byron directly in the penis before dropping him in abject silence. Awful.

Best 9. Santa – Raw, December 22, 1997

If we’re being honest, the Stunner hasn’t looked like it hurts in a while. Ever since the Rock, wrestlers try to outdo each other with how silly they can sell the novelty move.

It feels very weird to say that, honestly, one of the few people that make it properly look like a painful megadeath move… is Santa Claus. God wrestling’s weird. Christmas 97, Santa Claus turned up, was rude to a tiny Uso, implied Austin liked tiddlywinks, and Stone Cold killed him for it. Look at Santa planting right on that shoulder, bang. Ring the sleigh bell.
