If Lita is Stone Cold Steve Austin, then Trish Stratus is The Rock. Although women wrestlers were typically treated as eye-candy during the Attitude Era, Trish Stratus earned the respect of the fans by becoming an electrifying in-ring talent.
Her feud with Lita is perhaps the greatest feud in women’s wrestling history. Not only was it memorable, with great in-ring wrestling, but it also showed wrestling fans around the globe that the female wrestlers were just as good as the men. The tenacity that Stratus showed during her run with WWE allowed her and Lita to have the first women’s match to ever main event a Raw show.
Aside from being a seven-time WWE Women’s Champion, Stratus was also a one-time WWE Hardcore Champion and is a WWE Hall of Fame inductee. She has been called an inspiration by many other women’s wrestlers including, but not limited to Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, and Michelle McCool.
