10 Potential WrestleMania Matches For John Cena

3. Seth Rollins

With his ‘Monday Night Messiah’ gimmick on Raw, Seth Rollins is arguably one of the hottest things in not only WWE but all of wrestling right now.

Should his programme with Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens wrap up before WrestleMania (likely at Super ShowDown or Elimination Chamber), perhaps Seth Rollins could turn his attention to John Cena.

Cena and Rollins have proved in previous encounters that they have good in-ring chemistry, so a match would likely be good from not only a storyline perceptive but an in-ring one too.

With Drew McIntyre busy with Brock Lesnar, WWE is without any big babyface on Raw for Seth Rollins to go up against at WrestleMania. Perhaps John Cena is the best fit for that role.

2. The Undertaker

John Cena and The Undertaker might have had an impromptu three-minute match at WrestleMania 34, but Cena and ‘The Deadman” deserve a proper match with a proper build on the grandest stage of them all.

The Undertaker is reaching the end of his career and some may argue that he is best suited to face younger stars who he can put over. However, it would feel wrong if he were to retire would a proper feud against John Cena.

Not much more needs to be said about this entry. A Cena vs. Undertaker match could legitimately main event any pay-per-view, and the prospect of two of WWE’s most iconic stars going one-on-one is something I can truly get behind.

1. The Fiend

In this piece, we briefly touched on the fact that John Cena defeated an up-and-coming Rusev at WrestleMania 31 in a decision that many fans feel was the wrong one. However, WrestleMania 31 was not the first time something like this has happened.

The year prior at WrestleMania XXX, John Cena defeated an extremely hot Bray Wyatt. While Wyatt might have walked out with the win a few weeks later on PPV, he was never as hot as he was going into WrestleMania in 2014.

With The Fiend’s gimmick being that he doesn’t forget about those who have previously wronged him, a WrestleMania match between the two former WWE Champions makes perfect sense.

Who do you think, if anybody, John Cena should face at WrestleMania 36? Let us know in the comments.
