5. Bobby Roode
It took Vince McMahon less than a year to effectively kill Bobby Roode. Congratulations. None of this is Roode’s fault. He was on the top of his game before he left NXT. Arguably the best heel in the company with one of the best theme songs in all of pro wrestling.
Roode played the arrogant, rich heel to perfection. But for some reason, Vince decided to strip away all the layers that made him ‘Glorious’ in order to be a babyface who was essentially a walking catchphrase.
Roode can actually be an effective babyface. I remember during his build for his match against Kurt Angle at Bound For Glory 2011 that Roode showcased that he could run with the ball as the lead babyface if TNA let him.

Roode needs to get off television for a bit. Go back down to NXT and recapture his past glory. If the company wants him to be a face then define Bobby Roode as a man who’s more than just a catchphrase.
It’s sad that the main roster writers don’t seem to be capable of doing these things because it’s one of the most crucial steps in screenwriting but its just the way Vinne Mac and company operate.
