11. William Regal
This entry is heavily influenced by my love for both NXT and ‘the Man’s Man’ Regal. His goofy tenure as WWF Commissioner in 2001 aside (where he would frequently be outsmarted by babyfaces and heels alike), Regal has established himself as an excellent roster leader.
He’s run NXT firmly and fairly since July 2014, demonstrating the rare mix of dignity and rigid adherence to rules that only true Brits can muster. In a world where heel commissioners have become the norm, Regal is a refreshing change of pace.
Plus his interactions with the likes of the enigmatic Nikki Cross and Aleister Black always promise to entertain.
