AEW
The AEW Forbidden Door 2026 pay-per-view will be the next major event from All Elite Wrestling in collaboration with New Japan Pro Wrestling, CMLL and STARDOM on Sunday, June 28.
The show may see several titles up for grabs, not only from AEW but also from other promotions involved with this evening as well.
From AEW stars winning gold in other companies to scores being settled with titles on the line, Forbidden Door 2026 will present some championships being exchanged in San Jose, California.
Here are six potential title changes at AEW Forbidden Door 2026.
6. The Dogs Capture AEW World Tag Team Titles From Cage & Cope
At AEW Double Or Nothing 2026, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeated FTR in an I Quit Match to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Then on the May 27 AEW Dynamite and Collision, Cage and Cage decided to have their first five second pose in 25 years, but they were interrupted by The Dogs.
David Finlay and Clark Connors attacked and laid out Cage and Cope before posing over their bodies.
Despite The Young Bucks challenging their spot as the number one contenders for the gold, The Dogs look on their way to a shot at the titles and could be the ones to dethrone Cage and Cope before their reign even gets going.
5. FWC Takes AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships From Divine Dominion
Divine Dominion have been a dominant force as the current AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions since winning the gold at Revolution 2026.
While they have a title match against TayJay on the June 6 episode of AEW Collision, it feels like Megan Bayne and Lena Kross will be defending their titles at the Forbidden Door 2026 pay-per-view.
Looking at the companies working with AEW for this major show, STARDOM could offer one of their duos to challenge Divine Dominion for the gold.
Divine Dominion defending the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles against a formidable pairing like FWC could see the combination of Hazuki and Koguma winning the gold on June 28.
4. The Young Bucks Beat El Desperado & Mistico To Win IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Titles
Speaking of the partner promotions, New Japan Pro Wrestling should play an important role at this year’s AEW Forbidden Door event.
At NJPW Wrestling Dontaku 2026, El Desperado teamed with CMLL and AEW’s own Mistico to defeat The Ichiban Sweet Boys to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.
This could lead to Mistico making his return to All Elite Wrestling to defend the titles alongside Desperado at Forbidden Door 2026.
The Young Bucks are not only a top duo in AEW, but they are one of the most decorated IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions ever, so they could add another reign to their legacy against Mistico and Despe at the upcoming show.
3. Andrade El Idolo Dethrones Jon Moxley For AEW Continental Championship
Andrade El Idolo has been riding a ton of momentum across multiple promotions in 2026.
While he is a top contender for the AEW World Title, El Idolo is also the current IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion.
Despite Don Callis not being willing to break his agreement with MJF to get him a shot at the AEW World Championship, fans could see Andrade challenge for another long running champion in the promotion.
El Idolo challenging and defeating Jon Moxley for the AEW Continental Title would play into the ongoing rivalry between the Don Callis Family and Death Riders, while giving fans an exciting matchup with these two top stars.
2. Darby Allin Becomes A Three-Time TNT Champion Against Kevin Knight
At AEW Double Or Nothing 2026, MJF defeated Darby Allin to become a three-time AEW World Champion.
After this loss, Allin was strapped to a stretcher following the damage he endured during the bout when Kevin Knight appeared and turned heel by delivering the UFO Splash to Darby on the gurney.
Since then, Knight has turned on his JetSpeed tag team partner Speedball Mike Bailey and joined the Don Callis Family.
This should lead to Darby making his return to All Elite Wrestling to defeat “The Jet” to win the TNT Title at the upcoming AEW Forbidden Door 2026 event.
1. Kyle Fletcher Defeats Konosuke Takeshita To Win AEW International Championship
At the AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 pay-per-view, Konosuke Takeshita defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the AEW International Championship.
Following the bout, Kyle Fletcher made his return and looked like he was going to side on his Protoshita tag team partner’s side against The Don Callis Family.
However, Fletcher then betrayed Takeshita with an attack that ended their longtime friendship with one another.
“The Protostar” clearly has his sights on Takeshita’s gold, which could lead to a showdown for Fletcher to win the International Title for the first time at AEW Forbidden Door 2026 in San Jose.
