It doesn’t always happen this way, but quite often the natural progression when someone loses the secondary title is they end up going for the top title soon after.
Sky’s reign and recent feud with Sammy Guevara wasn’t met well by fans at all, but hopefully that’s a thing of the past now, and we can move on and Sky can have a really good reign with some really good matches.
As one of the first ever AEW World Tag Team Champions, and a two-time TNT Champion, it wouldn’t be a stretch to suggest he could challenge for the World Title.
The only slight issue with this one is there isn’t really any kind of backstory whatsoever between Punk and Sky, but that can always be figured out.
