AEW
With AEW WrestleDream now in the books, the next pay-per-view event on the calendar is AEW Full Gear, set to take place in November.
AEW recently updated the branding for the show, with the logo now featuring Black Arrows and a chair to honor the late Benjamin Satterley (PAC), who passed away on September 27.
PAC was an original member of the 2019 AEW roster, and this year’s Full Gear event honoring the Bastard is fitting, given the entire event was named after him.
Being The Elite’s ‘Full Gear’ bit inspired pay-per-view name
In January 2019, the launch of All Elite Wrestling was officially announced, with the company hosting a press conference in Jacksonville, Florida.
The presser saw the arrival of PAC, who was announced as a day one signing for the company, where he confronted ‘Hangman’ Adam Page to set up a future match between the two.
PAC arrived at the presser wearing his wrestling attire, his ‘Full Gear’, while everyone else was more appropriately dressed for the occasion.
Following the show, a running bit started on Being The Elite which would see Hangman show up in his ‘Full Gear’, claiming that ‘people liked when PAC did it’.
As such, when it came time to name AEW’s third pay-per-view event that November, the running ‘Full Gear’ bit, which was started by PAC’s appearance on the very first night of AEW,
How AEW could honor PAC at this year’s show

PAC became the first-ever AEW All-Atlantic Champion (now the International Championship) at Forbidden Door 2022
With the event’s new graphics designed to honor the man the event was named after, there are a number of ways that AEW could pay tribute to PAC on this year’s show.
AEW previously hosted a ‘Full Gear Eliminator’ tournament to earn a future AEW World Championship shot, which Tony Khan could revive and rename in honor of the Bastard, given it culminates at his show.
Alternatively, at Forbidden Door in 2022, PAC became the first-ever AEW All-Atlantic Champion, the title that would go on to become the International Championship, so running a big match or tournament for that title would also be incredibly appropriate.
Finally, the title that became perhaps most synonymous with PAC was the AEW Trios Championship, with Swerve and the New Level even directly paying tribute to PAC with the titles during his tribute show.
Another great way to honor PAC would be to host some kind of major Trios Championship match or stipulation at Full Gear every year, a great tribute to arguably the greatest Trios Champion in AEW history.
