6 Replacements For Injured Hangman Page At AEW Revolution 2024 AEW

AEW’s continued horrendous luck with injuries seems to have struck yet again, as it is being reported that Hangman Page may have suffered a broken ankle on this week’s episode of Dynamite (February 21).

This is obviously a massive blow to Page and AEW, who will now have to scramble and find a solution to the dilemma that now faces them regarding the main event of Revolution 2024.

Thankfully for them Samoa Joe’s scheduled title defence also includes the most over man in the company right now – Swerve Strickland, so a one-on-one bout between the two is certainly an option and a good one at that.

While that would perhaps make the most sense, Tony Khan may instead decide to throw us all a curve ball and announce a replacement for Page’s spot in the bout.

This could come in the form of a number one contender’s bout or a shock on the night reveal. Either way, there are presently quite a few options on the table. So join us in counting down six of the best potential replacements for Hangman on March 4.

6. Jay White

The Switchblade is a guy who could very easily slot in Hangman’s place and not feel out of place.

Sure, he’s been far less involved with the AEW Title recently and far more concerned with The Bang Bang Scissor Gang and getting revenge at the Undisputed Kingdom, but he does have recent history with the AEW Title.

His match with MJF at Full Gear was not been amazingly received, the manner of which did probably far more harm to White’s credibility than it should have.

So, that’s why he should have a claim at a bit of redemption. He wouldn’t win the three-way but a good showing could go a long way.

He also has a loss to Swerve from the Continental Classic to avenge. I know it’s paper thin motivation but if Khan was intent on still making the match a three-way it’s not a bad plan B.
