Jimmy and Jey Uso have assumed their spot at the top of the WWE Raw tag team division with ease since winning the World Tag Team Titles from AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.
Looking at the WWE roster, there are several teams across both Raw or SmackDown who could step up and challenge The Usos’ position, particularly with “The Grandest Stage of Them All” around the corner.
Here are seven potential Jimmy and Jey Uso WWE WrestleMania 42 opponents.
7. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods)
There is no other tag team rivalry that has been as storied in recent WWE history as much as The Usos vs. The New Day.
While Jimmy and Jey Uso were able to regain the titles at the end of 2025, The New Day were in that same spot at last year’s WrestleMania 41.
After winning the titles, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods did not defend the titles too often and went on to drop the gold to The Judgment Day in the summer.
Now with Woods sidelined with an injury, The New Day could come back into the fold following his return that puts them in a perfect spot to challenge The Usos for the World Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 42.

6. The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar)
The War Raiders are another set of former World Tag Team Champions that could find themselves in the mix for the gold once again.
While their recent return to WWE Raw was met with a beatdown at the hands of Oba Femi, fans could see Erik and Ivar getting back into the thick of things against The Usos for the gold.
These two duos have faced each other in the past, but there has been some time since their last meeting, which could make this a very fascinating matchup to explore.
If The War Raiders turn heel, they could be a more vicious pairing that would take the fight to The Usos and make for a more formidable opposition at WrestleMania 42 this April.

5. Los Americanos (Bravo & Rayo Americano)
While their real identities of Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate have plenty of tag team experience, Los Americanos have been one of the newer pairings on the Monday Night Raw brand.
Bravo and Rayo Americano have been looking for championship gold in Lucha Libre AAA and could do the same on WWE Raw.
With El Grande Americano guiding them, Los Americanos could go after The Usos to challenge them for the World Tag Team Championships.
Los Americanos becoming number one contenders could lead to the masked luchadors challenging The Usos for the titles in Las Vegas at WrestleMania 42.

4. Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley)
While most of the options on this list are from Monday Night Raw, there could be some duos from Friday Night SmackDown to challenge for the World Tag Team Championships.
Looking at the SmackDown tag team division, there are several pairings who could prove to be formidable opponents for The Usos.
When they debuted in WWE, it only took three matches for The Motor City Machine Guns to win the WWE Tag Team Championships back in 2024.
Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley challenging The Usos has everything it takes to be a potential showstealer for the WrestleMania 42 card.

3. The Vision (Bronson Reed & Austin Theory)
On the February 16 episode of WWE Raw, The Vision’s Bronson Reed, Logan Paul and Austin Theory defeated LA Knight and The Usos in a trios match.
Since forming as a stable, The Vision have been a thorn in the side of both Jimmy and Jey Uso.
Now that The Usos are holding the World Tag Team Championships, The Vision could target the former Bloodline members and look to bring some gold to their faction.
Paul Heyman sending Reed and Theory after the titles would give The Usos a pair of hungry challengers that could be a threat to walk out with the gold at WrestleMania 42.

2. The MFTs (Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga)
While The Usos hold the World Tag Team Championships on Raw, The MFTs are the current WWE Tag Team Champions on Friday Night SmackDown.
The MFTs have been embroiled in a faction war with The Wyatt Sicks that saw them win the titles in January.
Considering The MFTs could bring any number of pairings into the mix for the titles, it could set up a familial battle for champions vs. champions at WrestleMania 42.
The Usos putting up the World Tag Team Championships against The MFTs’ WWE Tag Team Championships would make for a huge showdown that will give the company one undisputed champion following WrestleMania 42.

1. The Lucha Bros (Penta & Rey Fenix)
In 2025, Penta made his debut on Monday Night Raw in January, while Rey Fenix arrived on Friday Night SmackDown in April.
Ever since the former AEW World Tag Team Champions made their way to WWE, fans have been wondering how long it will be until The Lucha Bros have their reunion with one another.
One of the many dream matches that have been discussed by fans is The Lucha Bros vs. The Usos.
Jimmy and Jey Uso facing Penta and Rey Fenix would make for a must watch bout at WrestleMania 42 that has all the potential to be remembered for years to come.
