It is safe to say that the current WWE United States Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura, is officially the worst person to take a picture with. Kairi Sane, the current NXT Women’s Champion, is poised and ready for each shot with that dastardly ‘King of Strong (ball kicking) Style’ finding new ways to ruin it each time.

I suddenly really want this team-up to happen. Imagine the charisma! Christian would be so proud. It could also lead to an actual winning streak for the street profits who, to be honest, have no need for wins at the moment. Their act keeps them over no matter what, similar to how Velveteen Dream’s does.

It was all worth it, Aiden! Now you go to Hell in a Cell, you take it to the New Day and you win those titles so we can all celebrate a great and magical – say it with me – RUSEV DAY! Seriously though, those welts look like they suck. Go put some ice on them.

Speaking of that definite show-stealer. Sheamus most certainly isn’t bitter about losing the qualifier to Rusev Day. He’s absolutely even less bothered by one of his real-life best friends (and winner of that match, Rusev) rubbing it in his face. I’m sure he’s smiling on the inside…

Way Back Wednesday

It is crazy to think where these three are today. TJP has since become the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Jay Lethal is currently sat atop ROH holding their World Championship. And Adam Cole (GOA-TEE) has spent the last year dominating NXT, becoming the first-ever NXT North American Champion in WWE‘s second Meltzer-rated five-star match in seven years. Not bad.

 

A Fitting Farewell

Adam Cole will find it hard to reach the very top of NXT, however, when Matt Riddle comes to town. He is performing in his last independent match against Mark Haskins in the same arena where his last UFC fight was held. A fitting end to another chapter before taking WWE by storm.

Apparently, we all wished so hard that WWE went and actually made Renee Young the official third commentator on Raw… so erm… bye, Coach. This is genuinely amazing. She will be amazing. Now if only Raw was amazing…

A Moment Or A Reign?

On October 21 in Nashville, Tennessee, Cody will defend his newly won NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against the man he won it off, Nick Aldis. The ‘Son of a Son of a Plumber’ winning his father’s title at ALL IN was a highly emotional moment. Now, it is time to see if that’s all it was. A moment. Or whether this will actually be a title reign that could lift the prestigious title back to its former glory once and for all.

Watching this live and in person was difficult. If you can’t tell from the picture, Jimmy Havoc jumped off of the top rope, bare-footed, on to a pile of thumbtacks. On the plus side, Sami Callihan got a staple gun out prior to this and stapled pages of the latest WrestleTalk Magazine to his opponent so swings and roundabouts, aye?
