Predicting The WrestleMania 38 Match Card Following The Royal Rumble

Edge vs AJ Styles

This is less a prediction, and more sort of me just willing the match into existence.

Edge wrapped up his feud with The Miz at the Royal Rumble, so we now look ahead to the next person that the Rated R Superstar will tango with.

WWE has announced that Bobby Lashley will defend the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber, and I expect both of these men to be a part of that match, with one eliminating the other to set up a future WrestleMania feud.

I don’t know who would be the heel, as AJ recently turned back babyface and Edge seems set in the role of beloved legend. Maybe it’ll be face vs face, who knows.

They want it. I want it. You want it. WWE, just give us what we want.

Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens

Prior to the news about Riddle’s intended Royal Rumble victory, this was the match I originally had pencilled in to be contested for the WWE Championship.

Seth Rollins should be the WWE Champion as I type these words, with him originally being the one set to dethrone Big E back at WWE Day 1, before Lesnar’s late addition to the match.

Rollins was loved by the fans at the Royal Rumble, and the afterbirth of his match with Roman Reigns implied two things. The first, is that things between him and Roman Reigns are not over. The second, is that he’s kind of a good guy now?

With Rollins seemingly moving into the babyface column, a rematch with Reigns in Saudi Arabia seems the destination, with him returning to the red brand a defeated, yet humbled, man.

This gives a clear path for world renowned great friend Kevin Owens to cement his status as a villain heading into the Grandest Stage of Them All.
