The road to WWE Crown Jewel is getting shorter as less than three weeks separates us from the event; still slated to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 7.
With last week’s Raw ending with a big surprise when Carmelo Hayes joined the 946, we could see WWE follow that up with more unexpected moments tonight when Raw heads to San Diego, CA.
Here are three potential surprises we could see during tonight’s WWE Raw:
Sami Zayn main events WWE Raw against a member of The Bloodline, 946 interferes to give Zayn the win
One change from the norm already confirmed for the October 19 episode of WWE Raw is SmackDown’s Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn making an appearance.
“The Last Real Good Guy” looks set for a face-to-face with his Crown Jewel opponent – and former Tribal Chief in The Bloodline – Roman Reigns during tonight’s show, but a lot has changed since the pair last crossed paths.
It will be an interesting meeting for sure, but Zayn may not just be showing up on Raw to talk. With no clear and obvious main event announced for the show, Adam Pearce could book Zayn to take on one member of The Bloodline in singles competition, or potentially a tag team bout with Zayn teaming with Johnny Gargano.
Whatever one or two Bloodline family members step up, expect the 946 to get the final say in which way the match goes; in this case a Sami Zayn win and Bloodline loss.
Big Cass brutalizes Rey Mysterio in his hometown
Big Cass’ nightmare return to WWE Raw has only been getting worse by the week as the near seven foot tall star has now suffered three straight losses on Monday nights.
The most recent defeat came at the hands of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, who will now have a lot to celebrate when Raw heads to his hometown of San Diego tonight.
Unless WWE did just bring Cass back for this role he will definitely be needing to get his heat back sooner rather than later, and there’s no better time or place than tonight in San Diego.
Cass brutalizing Rey Mysterio in front of his family would be an awesome way to re-establish him as an actual threat and get his WWE career back on track.
Paul Heyman gets laid out by The Vision after attempting to join forces with Oba Femi
The October 12 episode of WWE Raw saw a very intriguing exchange between Paul Heyman and Oba Femi, with “The Oracle” seemingly offering his services to “The Ruler.”
While this allegiance is one many fans have been anticipating since Femi retired Brock Lesnar, the former two-time NXT Champion instead shut down the idea and confirmed he only walks alone.
Where this leaves Heyman is a mystery, as he likely can’t simply tuck tail and head back to The Vision after such a blatant attempt to join forces with the group’s sworn enemy.
As a result of this betrayal, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and company could lay out Heyman, leading to Femi to show a bit of concern for the Hall of Famer and continue his feud with The Vision as a result.
