More WWE SmackDown stars to join Raw: Three big new additions that could follow Carmelo Hayes

The October 12 episode of WWE Raw saw Carmelo Hayes jump ship from SmackDown to officially join Royce Keys’ 946 faction.

This move not only provides Hayes with a much needed change of scenery and character direction, but it also helps bolster the Raw roster at a time when SmackDown is stacked with main event level talent.

However, it could certainly be argued that Raw is in need of even more new faces, particularly at the top of the card.

Here are three more WWE SmackDown stars to potentially join the Raw roster:

Damian Priest

WWE's Damian Priest on SmackDown.

Damian Priest turned heel on the September 11 WWE SmackDown by attacking his former tag team partner R-Truth.

After a month of build up since the split of their tag team, R-Truth and Damian Priest finally went head-to-head this past Friday on SmackDown (October 16).

Unfortunately this first in-ring meeting was cut short when Truth suffered what appeared to be some kind of injury when landing from a top rope dropkick attempt.

If Truth is set for a spell on the sidelines we could potentially see WWE pivot and move Priest in a new direction, potentially even going as far as moving him back to Raw; the brand where he rose to prominence as a member of The Judgment Day.

Judgment Day are in need of a threatening presence on the male side of their ranks, and Priest could certainly add that. More importantly Priest would bring some interesting character moments, as it’s unlikely every member would take too kindly to seeing him back in the clubhouse.

Baron Corbin

Another notable moment from SmackDown was Baron Corbin unexpectedly confronting former Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in the main event segment.

Unfortunately for “The Nomad” this decision didn’t all too well for him, as he ended the night on his back after being hit with a punt kick by “The American Nightmare.”

With Corbin now seemingly set for at least a few weeks on the sidelines to sell this attack, perhaps WWE could move him over to Raw for a fresh start, as his options on SmackDown don’t appear all that promising.

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre won his fourth world championship in WWE on January 9 episode of SmackDown, but lost it back to Cody Rhodes 56 days later.

The biggest name Raw could potentially recruit before the end of 2026 has to be Drew McIntyre.

“The Scottish Warrior” has been off TV since WrestleMania 42, as he’s been busy filming his roles in upcoming Hollywood projects Highlander and The Last Druid.

With those projects wrapped up a return should be nearing, but given how busy the main event scene on SmackDown is WWE would definitely be better moving Drew to Raw.

Given his history with The Bloodline, McIntyre could potentially join up with the 946 ahead of Survivor Series WarGames or even emerge as Roman Reigns’ next World Heavyweight Championship challenger early in 2027.
