Who Should Be On Team SmackDown For Survivor Series

Now that we know most of Team Raw’s lineups for Survivor Series, let’s take a look at who should oppose them for the blue brand representing SmackDown.

This piece will include who I think SHOULD be on both the men’s and women’s teams (NOT who I think will).

For Raw, we already know:

  • Women – Dana Brooke, Lana, Mandy Rose, Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler
  • Men – AJ Styles, Keith Lee, Sheamus, 2 TBA

Firstly, let’s quickly have a look at some notable ommissions I’m not going to be including in my picks for the SmackDown lineups:

  • Women
    • Bayley – She shouldn’t want to represent the brand now that she’s lost the title, she should be too busy having a hissy fit
    • Natalya – The spot should be given to someone else who hasn’t been in this position before and thus would benefit from it more
  • Men
    • Aleister Black – Why should he care about brand loyalty
    • Apollo Crews – Just didn’t quite make the cut
    • Dominik Mysterio – Considering he’s not a top guy like Rollins he shouldn’t be getting involved in brand vs brand nonsense along with all his other problems
    • King Corbin – Don’t really think I need to explain this one
    • Lars Sullivan – It would be impossible to protect him in a match like this and he should not be involved in anything that bunches him with a load of other guys

Let’s get started, looking at the women’s team first!

Bianca Belair

This one should be a no brainer, and in fact Belair should be the sole survivor when all is said and done.

There is nothing that you could want in a top star that Belair doesn’t have. She never hit the ground running on Raw but representing and winning for SmackDown at Survivor Series would really get her going.

Carmella

Carmella might not seem like the most inspiring pick but she’s recently debuted a revamped version of her character and Survivor Series would be a good chance to show it off.

She could definitely have a decent showing, but perhaps a bit of an argument with one of her teammates can result in her being eliminated, as well as kickstarting her first real program since returning.
