Con #2: Takes away from the “reality” of wrestling
Another argument against intergender wrestling is that, to some, it takes away from the reality of professional wrestling. While most know that wrestling is scripted with pre-determined outcomes, the joy of it is getting lost in the stories and matches themselves.
Watching Finn Balor and AJ Styles put on a 30-minute epic with lots of false finishes is truly a spectacle that would have most fans on the edges of their seats, with a big factor of that being that truly either one of them could come out on top.
However, some would argue, if a match pitting Alexa Bliss vs. Braun Stroman would go any longer than 5 seconds, it would eliminate the feeling that ‘anyone could win’.
