4. Demolition
Just three years on from the inaugural WrestleMania event, at WrestleMania IV a history-making title reign began when Ax & Smash of Demolition defeated Strike Force to win the WWE Tag Team Championships.
This run of 478 days would hold the record for the longest tag title reign of all-time all the way until The New Day overtook it back in December 2016. Now, if that wasn’t enough to facilitate a Hall of Fame induction I don’t know what is.
Unfortunately, Demolition have had a bit of a sour history with WWE relating perhaps to the team taking WWE to court in order to gain the rights to the Demolition name 1997. There’s no guarantee but this could be why they never made it in before now.
But now that Triple H is in charge of inductees, perhaps this could be the year we finally see one of the company’s greatest tandems take their rightful spot in the Hall of Fame.
