1. Liv Morgan
Rhea Ripley’s injury legitimately occurred during the backstage brawl with Liv Morgan a couple of weeks ago when Morgan sent Ripley shoulder first into a wall.
While there are reportedly no backstage issues involving Morgan regarding what happened, the situation has been transferred onto TV, with Morgan claiming it was part of her ‘revenge tour’ to get back at Ripley who injured her (in storyline) several months ago.
However, this in turn seems to have turned Morgan heel to a lot of fans, and that change in fan reaction might be something that can really reinvigorate her career.
The most logical ending to the battle royal would seem to be Becky Lynch overcoming and eliminating Nia Jax, and then Morgan sneaking in at the end to take advantage, another heel move that sets up a match with Lynch when she’s back from her break.
The end goal of all of this when Ripley returns would be a match against Morgan, and Morgan becoming the first champion – via heel means – after being the one that injured Ripley in the first place, just makes all the sense in the world.
Whether Morgan’s reign would actually last as long as it takes for Ripley to return is another question, but it at least gets things off to a sensible start.
