WWE is just three weeks away from WrestleMania 42 with the card taking shape for both nights of the premium live event.

With all the titles that look to be on the line at the shows, there could be some consequences coming out of that weekend for several different tag teams on the WWE roster.

Whether it be those duos who have been teasing a breakup or an abrupt betrayal from either side, Mania could bare witness to some tandems going their separate ways.

Here are seven WWE tag teams potentially splitting up at WrestleMania 42.

7. The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez)

On the March 9 edition of WWE Raw, The Judgment Day turned on Finn Balor after years of dissension and issues.

Over the past few months, there have been other problems being teased between Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

While Morgan made her return and looked to set her sights on the WWE Women’s World Championship, it was Rodriguez who had earned the right to be a top contender for the gold and had some issues with her best friend.

Considering Liv will face Stephanie Vaquer for the title at WrestleMania 42, the event could see Raquel accidentally cost her stablemate the gold, leading to a split with this longtime Judgment Day duo.

6. Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley)

On the March 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the tag team division competed in a Tag Team Turmoil match to determine the new number one contenders for the gold.

While R-Truth and Damian Priest went on to win this bout, The Motor City Machine Guns had a miscue that led to their elimination early in the match.

Since then, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley have not seen eye-to-eye, especially with Shelley trying to help his former protege Johnny Gargano with his recent slump.

With Candice LeRae recently helping The Machine Guns in a contest against Fraxiom, this could lead to Shelley leaving Sabin and joining forces with Gargano in a new pairing at WrestleMania 42.

5. Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

The Street Profits have not been seen on the WWE main roster since September 2025.

Having recently appeared on a WWE NXT live event, it feels like Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins could be on their way back sooner rather than later.

After nine years as a duo, it may be time for Ford and Dawkins to go down their own paths in WWE.

WrestleMania 42 could be the site for the inevitable breakup of The Street Profits where one turns on the other on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All.’

4. The MFTs (Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga)

Another pairing that has been experiencing some differences as of late is The MFTs.

In the midst of their rivalry with The Wyatt Sicks, Solo Sikoa has been losing his cool with his faction and being questioned by Tama Tonga.

Over the past few months, Tonga has broken out on his own and has gained success in singles competition.

After the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura have questioned his loyalty to The MFTs, WrestleMania 42 could be the time and the place for Tama to break free from Solo and become his own man.

3. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria

Heading into WrestleMania 41 last year, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria formed a pairing that became the number one contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

However, Becky Lynch attacked Bayley and took her place to win the gold with Valkyria. When Bayley returned, she wanted revenge on Lynch and felt some tension with Lyra for just accepting a new partner.

After feuding with one another, Bayley and Lyra reunited their partnership and have once again found themselves in contention for the tag gold.

If Bayley and Lyra are unable to become champions coming out of WrestleMania 42, it might be time for a split of these two and time for them to pursue singles glory once more.

2. Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane)

Since making her return to WWE in 2025, Asuka has taken more of a domineering role in her Kabuki Warriors partnership with Kairi Sane.

Often seen bossing around and making demands towards her partner, Asuka has mistreated Kairi for everyone to see.

This has recently led to their former Damage CTRL stablemate IYO SKY trying to convince Sane to stand up for herself.

Considering rumors of a possible three-way match with all these ladies, IYO could finally break the hold Asuka has on Kairi and lead to a breakup for the Kabuki Warriors Warriors at WrestleMania 42.

1. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

After failing to win the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 41, Charlotte Flair was in search of something to renew her passion for the business.

Flair formed an unlikely friendship with Alexa Bliss that led to the pairing winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Following their losing of those titles, Flair and Bliss have been in hot pursuit and looked to be in the mix for the gold at WrestleMania 42.

If they are unable to regain the titles after several failed attempts, this might finally lead to Charlotte or Alexa turning on one another to set up a feud between the two former WWE Women’s Champions.
