50-Man Royal Rumble Update

50-Man Royal Rumble Update

In a recent interview on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, Roman Reigns let slip that the 50-Man Royal Rumble set to take place in Saudi Arabia is going to be a “network special”. As this was yet to be announced by WWE, it was unclear whether that was an unfortunately worded mistake or a genuine leak of information. Now, however, it has been confirmed that the event will be available to stream on the WWE Network.

As reported by PWInsider.com, who had reader Bill Merchant informing them of the story that was later verified by writer Mike Johnson, when clicking to unsubscribe from the WWE Network, a last-minute ‘look at what you’ll be missing out on’ post pops up. On this post, in between WrestleMania 34 and WWE Backlash 2018, is The Greatest Royal Rumble, which will mark the first of many WWE events to be streamed from Saudi Arabia.

The show is the set to kick-off a new 10-year deal WWE has with Saudi Vision 2030, an organization within the country to reform its social and economic standing in the world.

As well as the highlighted 50-Man Royal Rumble, there will also be seven title matches excluding the WWE Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.

Superstars that have already been announced include:

  • John Cena
  • Triple H
  • Roman Reigns
  • AJ Styles
  • Braun Strowman
  • The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E)
  • Randy Orton
  • Bray Wyatt
  • Shinsuke Nakamura
