If I was a wrestler, I think I’d remain on the ground for as long as possible. This was not however an opinion shared by Mexican wrestler Aerostar, who is known for his death-defying high-flying.
Death-defying is the accurate way to describe him, particularly after he very nearly broke his neck attempting his later monster dive at AAA’s TripleMania XXV show this past weekend.
As you’ll see from the below video, while it wasn’t the highest dive of his career, it could easily have been his last following a grim landing.

As far as we know, he is OK despite being stretchered to the back after the match. AAA apparently confirmed that he was in no danger in a Twitch stream chat shortly after the incident.
Aerostar himself has now tweeted, which at least means he is able to use his hands and fingers.

According to Twitter’s translate bot, he said: “I will be totally honest with you is a very difficult flight to make but not impossible…. I promise to improve it, I’m going to give you the aesthetic you deserve. A flight that by height can not be practiced but I promise you that I will make it.”
He then tweeted an image of the bruises he sustained as a result of the bump.
