AEW All In at London’s Wembley Stadium has broken the all-time paid ticket record for the biggest professional wrestling event in history as the latest numbers have been revealed.
WrestleTix on Twitter noted that with 80,846 tickets distributed to the event as of 8:34pm ET on August 18, AEW All In has surpassed the previous all-time record for a paid ticketed event in pro-wrestling.
The record was previously held by WWE’s WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in 2016 which had 80,709 tickets sold.
The only wrestling shows with a higher attendance than AEW All In are the two nights of WCW/NJPW Collision in Korea shows where attendance was government-mandated.
AEW All In also marks AEW’s first ever show in the United Kingdom, making an enormous debut at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Acknowledging the achievement, AEW World Champion MJF posted a picture of himself and his opponent (and ‘best friend’) Adam Cole with a caption reading: ‘Time to become legendary.’
MJF and Adam Cole are set to make history as they main event the biggest professional wrestling event in the history of the sport.
