Another set of episodes of NXT and AEW Dynamite are in the books and the viewership for both shows has been revealed. As is usually the case when world news is the public’s primary interest, both shows took a hit.
Showbuzz Daily has reported that All Elite Wrestling garnered an average of 741,000 viewers. Meanwhile, NXT averaged 558,000 viewers. These numbers are both down from last week’s totals of 844,000 and 610,000 viewers respectively.
Showbuzz Daily also reported that Dynamite managed a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 male key demographic. However, NXT only managed a 0.12 rating. That is incredibly low, regardless of the competition from news.
AEW Dynamite featured the in-ring debut of New Japan Pro Wrestling star KENTA. The main event was a Lights Out match pitting Kenny Omega and KENTA against Lance Archer and Jon Moxley.
On the other channel, NXT put on the go-home show for NXT TakeOver Vengeance Day. The show set up both finals of the men’s and women’s Dusty Rhodes Classics and had a very entertaining segment from Johnny Gargano.
