Earlier today, it was announced that all the suite tickets for tonight’s AEW Grand Slam show in Arthur Ashe Stadium had sold out, which led to the belief that the show’s official attendance would top 20,000.
AEW announcer Jim Ross posted a quick update before the show went live, and shared the official number.

This number was also read out by JR at the start of the show, so it seems to be the official final attendance number for AEW’s big show.
This makes tonight’s show the most highly-attended non-WWE pro wrestling event in North America since July 5, 1999, when WCW held a Nitro episode in the Georgia Dome.
