Whoops. It has come to light that two of the many copyright applications made by AEW in November 2018 have been initially refused.
The new promotion made trademark applications for the following on November 5: AEW design and wordmark, All Elite Wrestling, AEW Double Or Nothing, AEW All Out, Tuesday Night Dynamite, and Fight For The Fallen. A later application for Change the Universe was also made on January 19 this year.
Both the applications for AEW and Change the Universe have been initially refused on the same grounds: the misclassification of certain goods and services on the applications and insufficient payment of fees.
Several other trademark applications, including Tuesday Night Dynamite and Fight For The Fallen have also been initially refused after failing to adhere to the many guidelines set out by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
For a full account of the refusals, Wrestling Inc has compiled this explanation for the refusals.
