Konnan Slaps Back At Chris Jericho Criticism AEW

Konnan has slapped back at the criticism of AEW’s Chris Jericho inserting himself into popular storylines.

Recently, Jim Cornette addressed the Chris Jericho vs Adam Cole storyline, noting that nobody gets over against Jericho.

Konnan spoke about the criticism of his friend on his k100 podcast, saying:

“The guys complaining that when anybody has a buzz going, [Jericho] inserts himself into the storyline, that’s kinda smart.

“Don’t hate the player, hate the game.”

A long-time friend of Jericho, Konnan would also explina that he would criticize the AEW star if there was something to criticize, but feels that Jericho has stayed relevant in the face of a fickle fandom.

He noted that, in AEW, fans loved Jericho during his early run but would turn their backs on him, comparing him to how fans loved Cody Rhodes upon his WWE return but have since soured on him.

Talking of Jericho’s relevancy, Konnan concluded:

“[Jericho has] done so much, it’s ridiculous, his work ethic is second to none. He stayed relevant for 30 f*cking years.”

Konnan would also say that while not every match or segment may be perfect, Jericho is still a reliable hand for good promos and good matches.
