An AEW Collision match was scrapped after having been previously announced, nixing one wrestler’s chance to perform near his hometown.
Tonight’s edition of AEW Collision was set to feature a match between Angelo Parker and Zak Knight however the advertised bout did not end up happening.
In a backstage interview segment with Lexy Nair, Knight revealed that while he did accept Parker’s challenge for a match, he would not be doing it tonight in Ottawa.
Denying Parker the ‘hometown advantage’, Zak Knight said he would give him a fight but on his terms.
In a later interview, Parker appeared with on-screen girlfriend Ruby Soho in which he revealed that his mom was even in the audience as Ottawa was nearby his hometown.
Missing the opportunity fired up Angelo Parker who was not prepared to leave without getting into it with Zak Knight.
Calling Knight a coward, he said that without a match tonight instead he would go looking for a fight, tonight!
In the end however, Soho redirected Parker who then apologized for having lost his temper and was ready to move on with his night.
