AEW Star Betrays Fans After Popular Tony Khan Request AEW

An AEW star has seemingly duped fans by doing a complete u-turn on a recent request for AEW President Tony Khan.

Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Austin Gunn, recently put out a plea to the AEW audience to aid him in convincing Tony Khan to permanently change the Gunns’ entrance music to the 2002 50 Cent classic Many Men (Wish Death).

They used that song as a one-off on April 5 ahead of an unsuccessful title defence against FTR.

Austin’s original tweet on the matter stated that if he could get 1,000 retweets then Khan would have to bow to the request, imploring fans to tag the AEW CEO to let him know the importance of the request.

Unsurprisingly, Austin managed to get his wish and then some, receiving over 3,000 retweets as of this writing, however, unfortunately for fans it all seems to be one massive trick.

Austin followed up with a new, very heel-ish tweet saying:

I have you guys in the palm of my hands

look at how quick you guys were to jump… how cute… you thought I would give y’all what you want…?

LMAO sit down, and shut the hell up

The Gunns run the show now

So a change of music may not be coming after all, but a change of scenery certainly is coming for Austin and his brother Colten as they will compete on Collision for the first time this Saturday (June 24).

The Gunns are set for a massive eight-man tag match, teaming with new allies Jay White and Juice Robinson to take on the star-studded quartet of Ricky Starks, FTR and CM Punk.

The Gunns’ allegiance with Bullet Club Gold first came at the conclusion of the June 7 AEW Dynamite, where the two second-generation stars interfered with the match between Starks and White, helping ‘Switchblade’ defeat his arch-rival.
