Popular AEW Star Believes MJF’s Recent Change Is ‘BS’ AEW

The storyline involving Maxwell Jacob Friedman heading into AEW Full Gear tomorrow night (November 19) has been intriguing fans of AEW since his return at All Out.

MJF returned at All Out, winning the Casino Ladder match for a shot at the AEW World Championship.

In the weeks since, MJF has been presented as more of a babyface on television.

MJF was involved in an incredible promo with William Regal a few weeks ago, which led to Regal seemingly changing MJF’s heart, telling him he still has a lot to learn.

This has led to MJF stating that he will win fair and square at Full Gear against Jon Moxley, not needing to use his Diamond Ring to win.

MJF’s sudden change of heart has led to confusion regarding his true motives, but AEW TNT Champion Wardlow isn’t falling for his tricks.

Wardlow and MJF have obviously had a lot of history together, and the War Dog spoke to Barstool Rasslin’, where he said the he doesn’t believe he’s changed at all.

He said:

“I think he’s gonna show his true colors.

“I, for three years, was hoping Max would kind of not be such a piece of s**t and it seems like he’s starting to mature and come around, but I’m not buying it. I’m not buying it.

“I don’t think there’s any way humanly possible that he can beat Jon Moxley clean without cheating. I think it’s all BS,”

Wardlow continued on, saying that he agrees it’s not fair that MJF is getting a title shot before Wardlow, but Wardlow is hoping that MJF wins the title, so that he can be the one to beat him for it.

He said:

“I murdered him to the point where he disappeared for like four months and then he comes back and is already getting a Heavyweight Title shot. No [it isn’t fair], but I guess life’s not fair.

“I kind of am hoping he wins that title, though, because I would love to take it away from him.”

Wardlow is also set for action at AEW Full Gear, when he defends the TNT Championship against both Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs in a three-way match.
