In a backstage interview segment on AEW Collision (January 6) there was an interesting tease about a potential new faction.
While the enemy of my enemy is my friend, does that still apply if one of the enemies is Daddy Ass?
On tonight’s Collision, there was an interview segment featuring Renee Paquette checking in with Jay White and Colten and Austin Gunn after their brawl with the Undisputed Kingdom on Dynamite.
It was then that they were interrupted by some former foes turned potential allies in the Acclaimed as the AEW Trios Champions joined the scene.
With Anthony Bowens suggesting that the two trios build a ‘super faction’ together, the suggestion wasn’t completely shot down.
While Jay White and Colten Gunn quickly exited, Austin Gunn lingered noting that it wasn’t a bad idea.
Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Ric Flair made an appearance to accompany Darby Allin and Sting as a tag team match opened the show.
In the end, Sting and Allin picked up the win over their opponents The Workhorsemen (J.D. Drake and Anthony Henry).
