CM Punk made his first ever appearance on AEW Dynamite last night (August 25), where he had an in-ring interview with Tony Schiavone.
During the interview, Punk put over Darby Allin and other young AEW stars ahead of his match with Allin at All Out, before signing off by saying ‘I love you’ to his wife April (former WWE star AJ Lee).
AJ took to her Twitter account after the show, where she shared her reaction to hearing her husband namedropping her on the show. She tweeted:
wasn’t expecting to hear my government name tonight
AEW star and current Women’s World Champion Britt Baker recently spoke about how she would ‘love’ for AJ to follow in her husband’s footsteps and join AEW.
Whilst it may not be a hint at all that AJ will be joining AEW soon, Punk did drop a massive hint about a certain other former WWE star joining the company in the near future.
