AJ Styles Denies Injury Reports

It seems there are conflicting reports about the current injury status of AJ Styles.

It was reported earlier in the week that Styles was on the shelf with a hernia, via Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio but Styles has come out on Twitter today and denied the injury:

Yeah, about that. I don’t have a hernia. 😐 https://t.co/ilqge7BlZw

Meltzer defended his initial report, which came directly from sources within WWE, posting:

I can only report what the WWE injury report has https://t.co/juELRDoD4j

So what exactly is going on here? WWE has been tight-lipped regarding injuries of late so it is no surprise that nothing official has come out from them about this. But Styles has not wrestled since his defeat to Daniel Bryan at Royal Rumble, so it appears there is definitely merit to reports of him being injured.
