A former WWE star said she felt “sad for every miscommunication” prior to their departure from the company.
In April 2023, Alicia Fox revealed that her WWE contract was expiring and she was leaving the promotion.
Speaking with Ring The Belle, Fox discussed her departure and the reason why WWE never announced her release. She said:
“I thought maybe [on] my release date, they would give me a statement of support saying, well, [she’s] gone,”
“No, no nothing. I don’t know. I just felt bad, you know? I felt sad for every miscommunication.”
Prior to her departure, Alicia Fox was taken off the road full-time in 2019. Following this, WWE attempted to make her into a “legend” and had her appear on a t-shirt with other WWE legends and Hall of Famers.
On the shirt and attempting she was unaware about the move, Fox stated:
“I was like, why is my head on this shirt? Are you going to legend me up? It’s not even fair. I got phone calls that were like ‘are you retired?’ I’m like, I got my first merch. Sure, okay, whatever.”
Alicia Fox will make her in-ring return when she competes at Reality of Wrestling’s Summer of Champions on July 15.
Besides Fox, WWE NXT star Trick Williams will also be appearing on the July 15 show.
