The biggest news of the week so far in wrestling has been the release of former WWE star Andrade. The news broke on Sunday night, a week after he had requested his release from the company.
In the days since, people have speculated about where he may turn up next. Now, it appears Andrade has teased the return of his former name and character, La Sombra. He tweeted a picture of himself in his old mask with the caption “La sombra / Andrade / El Idolo.

He competed as La Sombra for years before signing with WWE in 2016. Prior to signing with WWE he competed in both CMLL and New Japan Pro Wrestling as one of the founding members of Los Ingobernables.
Many have speculated that he could return to New Japan Pro Wrestling to rejoin his former partner, Tetsuya Naito. However, no actual details about Andrade’s next destination have currently been reported.
It has been reported, however, that his release did not come with a 90-day no-compete clause. This means he is free to sign where he pleases as soon as he wants.
