A backstage update has emerged on plans to induct Batista into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Last year Batista revealed that he would be inducted at a later date, as he was unable to attend the 2020 & 2021 ceremony last April. The Animal had previously been announced as part of the class of 2020.
Per PWInsider, WWE is not currently planning to induct Batista into the Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2022. Batista is expected to be in attendance at this year’s ceremony, for The Undertaker’s induction.
The report states that internal sources note that the former WWE Champion is ‘more likely’ to receive a Hall of Fame induction as part of the class of 2023, next year in Los Angeles.
The Undertaker, Vader and Sharmell are the names currently announced for the class of 2022. The ceremony will air on April 1, the night before WrestleMania 38 Saturday.
