Becky Lynch Breaks WWE Record

Becky Lynch Breaks WWE Record

At WrestleMania 35, Becky Lynch made history as the first woman to win in the main event of WrestleMania. She defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to become the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Fast forward seven months and Becky Lynch is still making history. “The Man” has now equalled Ronda Rousey’s record for the longest reign as Raw Women’s Champion.

Between SummerSlam in August 2018 and WrestleMania 35 in April of this year, Ronda Rousey held the Raw Women’s Championship. He reign lasted a total of 232 days.

Ronda’s rival Becky Lynch has currently held the Raw Women’s Championship she won at WrestleMania for 232 days. As she is not set to defend the title tonight, she is set to break Ronda Rousey’s record tomorrow.

Becky is not only one of the most over women on WWE’s books, but arguably one of the most over wrestlers on the entire roster. I don’t expect her to lose the Raw Women’s Championship anytime soon.

Three-time Champion Alexa Bliss has held the Raw Women’s Championship for a combined 396 days. Becky would have to hold the title until Friday 8, May 2020 if she is to break Bliss’ record.
