Popular Star Admits He Wanted More From WWE Title Reign WWE

Big E has shared his honest thoughts on his WWE Championship reign, admitting that he felt there was a lot of meat left on the bone.

The popular star defeated Bobby Lashley to win his first WWE Title on the September 13 edition of Raw after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.

He held the championship for the remainder of the year, before dropping the gold to Brock Lesnar at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1, 2022.

Lesnar lost the gold later that month, before regaining it ahead of WrestleMania 38, where he was ultimately defeated by Roman Reigns in a WWE vs Universal title unification match.

Speaking on PopCulture, Big E noted that he felt like more could’ve been accomplished with his reign.

“It was a great learning experience for me. It was one of those things where if I’m being honest, I wanted more. I didn’t feel like I had the best reign.

“I feel like there was a lot of meat left on the bone. A lot more that we could have done there. For me, I was really fortunate and really blessed to have that opportunity and really grateful for it as well.

“For, for me, in many ways, even though I wanted more out of the reign and felt like a lot more could have been accomplished in-ring and on TV, SmackDown, Raw.

“As much as I have those feelings, I’m also so grateful for the opportunity and so grateful for so many doors that have opened because of that run.”

Big E has been out of action since March 2022, when he suffered a broken neck.
