BIG WWE NXT Title Change! Ex WWE Star RETURN CONFIRMED! | WrestleTalk News

Rhea Ripley Confirmed For Mae Young Classic

Another name confirmed for the tournament is Rhea Ripley, who made it into the final sixteen of the Mae Young Classic last year before being knocked out by Dakota Kai. The Tiser broke the news first, which was then confirmed by WWE’s Australian Twitter account.

Ripley herself commented:

“Well, well, well… what do we have here? Time to get as jacked as possible in 1 month! See you all soon” before re-posting the news noting, “Beating up @DakotaKai_WWE, one of my favourite hobbies.” Mate, you lost that match – wind your neck in.

Which also seemingly confirms Dakota Kai for the tournament too. Kai has been unsuccessful in her attempts to capture the NXT Women’s Championship from Shayna Baszler over the last couple of months. But that’s not the case for someone else on the black and yellow brand.

NXT Title Change

During the United Kingdom Championship Tournament last month, Moustache Mountain defeated The Undisputed Era to capture the NXT Tag Team Championships for the first time. It wasn’t to last, though. As last night – on the same night that Oli and I crushingly witnessed England bow out of the World Cup from Hyde Park – it didn’t come home for Tyler Bate and Trent Seven either. The team of Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong re-captured the NXT Tag Team Championships – with Bate throwing in the towel for his mentor.
