Braun Strowman Wins First WWE Singles Title On SmackDown

Braun Strowman is the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. Strowman defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to win his first single’s gold.

Strowman has been clamoring for a shot at Shinsuke. He finally got it tonight on Super SmackDown. Sami Zayn and Cesaro attempted to get involved in the match.

Unfortunately, it backfired. Sami removed the turnbuckle. Cesaro distracted the referee.

Nakamura went to slam Strowman’s head into the steel. Braun reversed it and drove Nakamura’s head into the turnbuckle.

He then hit him with a huge powerslam for the victory.

WWE is heading to Saudi Arabia for Super Showdown. The Saudi Prince is a big fan of big men and attitude era like stars.  Given that Sami Zayn can’t go to Saudi and Strowman is huge, it makes a lot of sense for WWE to put the strap on Strowman.

Will he be able to keep the title? Who will be the next challenger for Strowman?

Given the rumors that Roman Reigns will be moving onto The Fiend to challenge for the Universal Title.  Could we see King Corbin going after Strowman’s title?

Two men clashing seems right in line for a Saudi Arabia style match.
