Taking to Twitter, current IMPACT star Brian Myers (formerly Curt Hawkins in WWE) has seemingly criticised the company for their tributes to the late Jon Huber (Brodie Lee in AEW) on Raw last night.
The former Raw Tag Team Champion said that it “isn’t right” that WWE didn’t honour their former employee with a video package or ten bell salute during the show, especially considering how Brodie Lee he was loved by his peers.
No 10 bell salute?
No video package?
This man was beloved by his peers & we’re all grieving hard.
This isn’t right. https://t.co/PhZIckKcbm— Brian Myers (@Myers_Wrestling) December 29, 2020
For those that missed the show and don’t know, WWE showed an “in memory of Jon Huber” graphic at the beginning of the show, but there was no other official tribute from the company anywhere else on the broadcast last night.
Instead, several WWE wrestlers paid their own tributes to Huber, including Drew McIntyre opening up the show with “it’s Monday, you know what that means” line, and both Xavier Woods and Ricochet hitting Discuss Clotheslines.
Speaking of Xavier Woods, he and Kofi Kingston also gave a touching tribute to Brodie Lee on RawTalk on the WWE Network last night, which you can check out by clicking here.
