Cardi B Seems Unlikely To Host WWE SummerSlam

Despite reports that WWE was planning to have Cardi B host SummerSlam next month, it’s now looking a lot less likely that she’ll be able to.

Ever since she announced she was pregnant in June, the idea of her hosting was up in the air, but there’s now some more evidence that suggests it won’t happen.

It’s come to light that Cardi B is expected to give birth around September 15, which is pretty damn soon after August 21 which is the date of SummerSlam.

Via AllHipHop, as part of an ongoing lawsuit Cardi B is involved with, her obstetrician-gynecologist (doctor specialising in pregnancy) has advised her against travelling and a trial that was scheduled for September 13 has been pushed back to November.

WWE is using Cardi’s song ‘Up’ as the official theme for SummerSlam, but didn’t actually announce she’d be hosting – it was just reported that was the plan.

It was announced yesterday that Tiffany Haddish will host the SummerSlam VIP after party. We’ll keep you informed if there are any more updates.
