Charlotte Flair Replaces Becky Lynch At WrestleMania 35

All of our nightmares have come true. Charlotte Flair has replaced Becky Lynch at WrestleMania.

Raw opened and closed with the angle that Becky needed to apologize for her actions last week, and if she did, she’d be granted her match against Ronda at ‘Mania. You know, the one she earned by winning the Rumble and so should never have been taken away from her.

Anyway, the final segment of Raw was that of Becky apologizing to Steph and Trips. “Great”, we all thought. Well Vince McMahon had other ideas.

After HHH and Steph accepted Becky’s apology and said that her ‘Mania match against Ronda would go ahead, big VKM waltzed out onto the stage to shatter everyone’s dreams.

He said that although Trips and Steph accepted Becky’s apology… well… he didn’t. And thus, he was suspending her for a further 60 days. Conveniently, 60 days happens to end five days after WrestleMania.

McMahon’s solution? To simply bring Charlotte Flair onto the stage and declare her Rousey’s new opponent.

This falls in line with reports that the plan has been to have the match a three-way including Charlotte, and we’ll likely see some sort of shenanigans with Becky earning or fighting her way back in.

Still, I’m going to go for a cry.
