Charlotte Flair SmackDown Status Update

A new update has been provided regarding the status of Charlotte Flair ahead of tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX.

PWInsider had previously reported that there had been talk in WWE over the weekend about Flair potentially appearing on SmackDown tonight.

In an update to that, as of 4:30 pm ET, PWInsider now reports that Flair isn’t backstage at the ThunderDome ahead of tonight’s show.

Flair has been off WWE TV in recent weeks after testing positive for COVID-19, but her real-life fiancé Andrade tweeted on March 22 that she had four more days until she was cleared (that was four days ago).

Charlotte Flair was pulled from WWE’s WrestleMania posters and her father Ric Flair tweeted that WrestleMania won’t be the same without her, seemingly confirmed she’d been pulled from the show.

However, if she’s cleared to return, one possibility is for her to be added into the Raw Women’s Championship match which is currently Asuka vs Rhea Ripley.
