Christian Cage: ‘I’m Coming Back To Prove I’m One Of The Best To Ever Do It’

During his WWE career, Christian Cage was never truly pushed as a main event star. He held the World Heavyweight Championship a couple of times but they were brief and he never returned to the world title picture long-term.

Now, Christian has arrived in AEW and he has a lot to prove. In his recent interview on Renee Paquette’s Oral Sessions, Christian said he is coming back to prove he is one of the best to ever do it. Here is the quote, courtesy of Fightful:

“If I didn’t have the confidence that I would be able to go like I did, I wouldn’t be attempting this. One thing I take pride in is, if my name is on something and I’m involved in it, then I’m all in. It’s no different here. I’m coming back to prove that I’m one of the best, in my mind, to ever do this. It’s what I was born to do. I’m coming back to prove that and prove to the fans. In a weird sense, my body has been preserved for seven years. All the nagging injuries have kind of healed and I feel good, physically and mentally. If I couldn’t do this at the highest level, I wouldn’t even attempt it. I couldn’t do that to the fans, myself, or the company,”

Christian Cage made his AEW debut at AEW Revolution and will make his first appearance on Dynamite tonight.
