Christian Cage Reveals WWE Names He Wanted To Face

Christian Cage made his return to wrestling at the Royal Rumble after almost seven years away. Now, he has signed with AEW, but he still has a number of WWE stars he would have liked to have wrestled.

Speaking on AEW Unrestricted, Cage listed Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as opponents he wanted to wrestle. Canadians looking out for their own. Here is the quote, courtesy of Wrestling Inc.:

“I would say probably Kevin Owens. I really like the passion that he has. I like the way that he delivers his promos. I think he’s fearless when he delivers his promos. I think that he’s a fearless competitor in the ring as well. I just like his style. Sami Zayn as well. I thought, especially this character the way it is now, we could have done some pretty special things. So off the top of my head, I would say probably those two guys.”

Christian Cage has wrestled a pair of matches since signing his AEW contract. The first was against former TNA rival Frankie Kazarian and the second was against Powerhouse Hobbs on this week’s Dynamite. Cage won both of these matches.
