WWE star Drew McIntyre has shared a savage response to CM Punk revealing that he’s set to miss WrestleMania 40 after suffering an injury.
With CM Punk publicly stating that his career goal is to headline a WrestleMania event, it had been heavily speculated that Punk would win the 2024 Royal Rumble match.
While Punk did have a good showing in the bout, he was ultimately eliminated by Cody Rhodes in the final moments of the match.
This wasn’t where Punk’s heartbreak ended, with the former WWE Champion revealing on Raw that he suffered a torn tricep injury at the January 27 premium live event.
Punk’s promo on Raw was interrupted by Drew McIntyre, who celebrated Punk’s injury, before attacking his arm.
McIntyre has now taken to Twitter to share a meme of himself posing over a gravestone that reads “CM Punk’s WrestleMania Main Event 2024-2024”.
You can view McIntyre’s post below.
A new report has revealed that two producers were listed for Punk and McIntyre’s Raw segment, which is rare as most of Punk’s segments since his return haven’t had producers.
You can read about the backstage names attached to Punk’s appearance on Monday right here.
