CM Punk Signs Jon Moxley’s Open Contract In Insane AEW Dynamite Promo AEW

CM Punk and Jon Moxley had their AEW World Championship unification match on last week’s AEW Dynamite, which saw Jon Moxley squash Punk in just three minutes in a shocking moment.

Moxley opened up tonight’s show, saying that he had an open contract for a match at All Out, leaving it in the ring, before Ace Steel walked out and picked up the contract before taking it to the back.

Punk came to the ring and said that he broke his foot on June 1, and that he shouldn’t have come back too early from his injury, as he got beat up in Cleveland, not for the first time, but this time didn’t sit well with Punk.

Punk said that he is fully cleared, but it’s a new 100%, and he doesn’t know if that ‘new 100%’ is good enough. Punk said that he came back because he loves the business and the fans, who love him back, which is why it sucks that he feels like he let everyone down.

Punk then said that maybe that love isn’t enough anymore, before Ace Steel came out, saying this isn’t what Punk told him that he was going to say when he came out to the ring. Steel said that Punk has fought through everything since his first day, and he’s proud of Punk because he trained him, and that they are family.

Steel said that he’s not going to let Punk give up, and he’s gonna get up and fight on Sunday, and he’s gonna sign the contract to fight Moxley. Chicago then reminded Punk who he is.

Punk then said that they’ve not found a man strong enough to kill him, and Moxley is not that man, before Punk entered the Chicago crowd and signed the contract.
