CM Punk has not appeared on AEW television since the now infamous AEW All Out media scrum, where he and the Elite were involved in a backstage altercation.
Punk has also been out of action with a tricep injury, which he has been rehabbing since All Out, with fans speculating when or if he would return to AEW.
The latest tease of a potential return comes from Punk himself, when a post was made by theprowrestlingpodcast on Instagram, quoting Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.
Sapp quoted a recent interview he had with Dax Harwood, where he said that Punk told him that reading Steve Kiern’s book has made him miss wrestling.
On the Instagram post, Punk left a rather interesting comment, saying:
Great story about Gator and Koko fighting in the locker room and then lawler drags em in the office the next day and they squash it. Fascinating.
FTR’s AEW future has also been up in the air, with Dax Harwood recently revealing that the duo have made a decision about their future.
Would ya look at that?? Interesting stuff happening over here 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/UZFvGfaUzy
