Cody Rhodes has sent a message to Sting ahead of his final match at tonight’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view event.
The Icon is set to officially call it a career in Greensboro tonight, when he and Darby Allin defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks in Sting’s final wrestling match.
Sting joined AEW at Winter is Coming in 2020, where he confronted both Darby and Cody Rhodes upon his debut.
Cody has since left AEW to join WWE, but he has sent his respects to Sting ahead of his retirement on tonight’s show.
Taking to Twitter, Cody simply tweeted a scorpion emoji, along with a picture of himself and Sting together in an AEW ring, as well as a backstage photo of himself, Sting and Dustin Rhodes.
CM Punk also sent his respect to Sting ahead of his retirement tonight, which you can see here.
The tag team match between Sting and Darby against the Young Bucks is expected to close tonight’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view event.
