Scheduling errors have been confirmed for AEW Dynamite both tonight (Wednesday, October 4) and next week (Tuesday, October 10).
Various, as in MANY, providers and listings had both tonight’s and next week’s Dynamite episodes listed as 4pm ET instead of the usual 8pm ET.
This would have been a pretty big development given it would have meant next week’s show wouldn’t have gone directly head-to-head with NXT which WWE has loaded up with John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Paul Heyman, Asuka and more.
At first, Tony Khan had only stated that tonight’s scheduling was wrong and hadn’t mentioned next week’s, which meant it looked like next week’s might actually have been accurate – which is what we tweeted out but noted that we couldn’t be certain and would clarify when confirmation was available.
Well, that confirmation is now available, and, as it turns out, the head-to-head is in fact taking place.
Khan tweeted the following clarification:
The TBS schedule is wrong for Dynamite TONIGHT + also wrong for next Tuesday
Despite what your TBS listings may say, #AEWDynamite Anniversary IS in our usual spot TONIGHT 8pm ET/7pm CT, up SOON
Next week #TitleTuesday Dynamite is also 8pm ET/7pm CT, on Tuesday 10/10 my birthday
Adam Copeland’s (Edge’s) first ever AEW match will be taking place on next Tuesday’s show as he faces Luchasaurus, as well as Saraya defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against Hikaru Shida.
NXT, on the other hand, has been loaded up with Carmelo Hayes accompanied by John Cena vs Bron Breakker accompanied by Paul Heyman, as well as a “major announcement” from Cody Rhodes, Asuka vs Roxanne Perez, and more.
